Therapy and Mindfulness Services for Individuals and Couples

INSIGHT. UNDERSTANDING. EMPATHY. trust. COMPASSION

You’ve tried everything to keep it all together—self-help books, podcasts, talking to friends, maybe you’ve even tried therapy before, but nothing is helping…

You Don’t Have to Hold It All Together By Yourself.

You’ve achieved so much—on paper, it all looks good. To others, you might appear successful—driven, intelligent, you have friends and family, you manage kids, work, school, obligations and responsibilities. But on the inside, you don’t feel put together. You may feel anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, stuck in self-doubt, uncertain about your worth or value. Perhaps you feel like no matter how much you prove yourself, it’s never enough so you have to keep taking on more and more, always trying to please others. Maybe your mind races, you worry all the time, and it’s hard to truly sleep. You may feel dissatisfied, disconnected, or disengaged from your family, your friends, your profession, or from the many roles you play in life. Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface to begin creating meaningful, lasting change.

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Sierra specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and couples who feel overwhelmed by responsibility and the expectations of others or their own expectations. Many of her clients complain that they have a strong inner critic, they can’t relax or let things go, they constantly worry about the future or dwell in the past, and they are tired.

Most of Dr. Sierra’s clients were raised in families where there were unhealthy or unhelpful patterns of communicating and relating. Many were raised in homes where one or both parents loved their kids, but they lacked the tools necessary to create a stable, consistent, warm, supportive environment. Not sure if this applies to you? Click HERE to learn more about how the relational patterns that you experienced as a kid and that were modeled for you may be contributing to your current struggles.

The most common complaints that clients come to see Dr. Sierra for are:
