Because at the core, deep deep down, maybe out of our conscious awareness, most of us have lost touch with our intrinsic value and worth—we somehow never feel good enough, we are afraid we don’t belong, that other people don’t care, and we are afraid to fail.

All of us become tied to conditioned patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that help us survive our upbringing in a world that can be scary, dangerous, demanding, performance-driven, appearance-driven, unpredictable, fickle, unkind, harsh, judgmental, critical, and rejecting. Although these patterns have helped us survive early in life, they often interfere with helping us thrive as we get older.
